Week 7 – Web Design
Feb 19th
We will not be covering SEO as all of you students need more time to build your sites. We will go into a little bit of JQuery and lightbox tonight. The goal will be to have your sites 75% completed by next class.

Here are the download links to JQuery and Lightbox. Lightbox is stored in a zip file and will need to be extracted.
The concepts of JQuery are not to difficult to understand and I will go over them in as much detail as I can tonight. Lightbox, while somewhat easy to use, has a bunch of files. Some javascript(js files) and some css. I will try to cover them but you may need to do a little research on your own to work them into your site.
Copy and paste from Photoshop to Dreamweaver
Assignment: Complete at least 75% of your site by next class.
Web Design – Week 6
Feb 12th
Tonight we will be covering just a few photoshop techniques but mostly slicing up our site designs. The design layouts can still change just a little from here. We will slice up the sites in such a way that you will be able to go back in and make image changes and save the “slices” back out to the design without worrying about the code in the background.
Assignment:
Finish slicing your designs in photoshop and preparing the template pages in dreamweaver.
Continue to gather the assets you would like to add to your site. (Graphics, photos, illustrations, textures)
Keep refining you current design put in anything you may have left out. Check you spelling.
